THE ULTIMATE BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION!
WHAT IS THE BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION?
Each year, Napa Valley College Small Business Advisors, business professors, and local high school instructors work with over 200 students on the development of comprehensive business plans which are entered into a single, exciting competition. Completed business plans are reviewed by a team of professional experts who choose the best high school and college plans. The YEP Competition culminates with the top teams presenting their plans in front of a panel of peers and community judges. Winners are announced at the end of the compeition.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The Business Plan Competition is open to high school and college students (14 to 27 years of age) who want to explore the world of business.
HOW ARE PLANS JUDGED?
Business Plans submitted for the competition will be divided into two divisions - High School and College. All plans are judged using a rubric of business plan essentials. This year's winners will receive cash prizes!
- High School Division Winner - $500 Cash
- College Division Winner - $1,000 Cash
WHEN & WHERE DOES THE NEXT BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION START?
This year's 4th Annual Youth Entrepreneur Business Plan Competition was held on Saturday, December 17, 2011. The event was a smashing success! The business plans were phenomenal this year. We would like to congratulate our first place winners: Nathan Edwards (high school division) and Crystal Herrick (college division)!!
